Common questions

What is BioHack Studios?
BioHack Studios is a private, high-tech strength and longevity studio in the EDGE District of Downtown St. Petersburg, open since 2017. Instead of a crowded gym, you follow one proven protocol across four technology stations: ARX adaptive-resistance strength, the CAROL Bike (REHIT cardio), red and infrared light with vibration, and the BioCharger. Each takes about 15 minutes. It's reservation-based and open 24/7, private and never crowded.
Where are you, and how do I get in?
We're at 1012 Central Ave in the EDGE District of Downtown St. Petersburg, steps from the Grand Central District and a short drive from the Old Northeast, Snell Isle, and Shore Acres. It's a private, reservation-based studio, so members let themselves in 24/7 through our app. There's free street parking and a paid garage nearby, and we'll show you exactly how access works on your free tour.
How much does membership cost?
Membership is $299/month, month-to-month. That one flat rate covers the full protocol, 24/7 reservation-based access, complimentary onboarding sessions, and our 6-month strength improvement guarantee. Most members start with a free studio tour and consultation to make sure it's the right fit before joining.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract. Most people start with a free tour first, and once you join, your membership is backed by a 6-month strength improvement guarantee.
How long is a session?
Each of the four stations takes about 15 minutes. You can pop in and do just one, like a complete, measurable strength session on the ARX in about 15 minutes, or string together the full four-station sequence for strength, cardio, and recovery. It is flexible by design, which is why members with packed schedules actually stay consistent.
Is this safe if I haven't trained in years?
Yes. The ARX resistance is computer-controlled, so it only ever matches the force you produce. There are no free weights to drop and no momentum to fight, and it meets you exactly where you are on day one. Your membership includes complimentary onboarding sessions so you start with confidence. As with any new exercise program, it is wise to check with your physician first.
I'm over 60. Is it right for me?
It's a great fit. Because the resistance can't load you past what you can safely handle, getting stronger after 60 is safe and never intimidating. Many of our most consistent members are in their 60s, 70s and beyond. Strength supports independence, balance, and bone health as we age, and it is genuinely never too late to start.
Do I get help learning the protocol?
Yes. Your membership includes complimentary onboarding sessions to learn the protocol with guidance. After that, every visit is self-guided: you follow the same proven sequence yourself, and the technology delivers precise, repeatable results. You get expert guidance up front, then train on your own schedule.
I'm already fit. Will this actually challenge me?
Almost certainly. Because the ARX loads both the lifting and lowering phase of every rep and adapts in real time, it can challenge a trained body more completely than fixed weights, and the objective tracking shows you exactly how you progress session over session.
My goal is fat loss or energy. Why focus on strength?
Muscle is a key metabolic foundation that supports lasting fat loss and day-to-day energy. Most plateaus aren't a willpower problem, they're an inefficient-stimulus problem. The protocol fixes the stimulus first, and the CAROL Bike adds efficient cardio, so your effort actually counts.
How do I track progress?
Objectively. The protocol captures performance data each session, so your progress is something you can see in the numbers rather than guess at or feel your way toward.
Can I try it before joining?
Yes, and we recommend it. Book a free studio tour and consultation, about 20 minutes, no pressure. We'll show you the studio, walk you through the protocol, and map it to your goals.
