What is ARX adaptive resistance?

ARX (Adaptive Resistance Exercise) is a computer-controlled strength machine. Instead of stacking plates, a motor delivers exactly the resistance you push against — matching your effort moment to moment through the entire range of motion. Every rep is maximally effective, and the machine records your output so progress is measured, not guessed.

Why ARX outperforms traditional weights

Because ARX loads both the lifting and the lowering (eccentric) phase of every rep — the phase ordinary weights leave on the table — it produces a powerful strength stimulus in a fraction of the time. In a 12-week randomized controlled trial at Western Colorado University comparing ARX to traditional weight training, the ARX group saw markedly greater strength, muscle, fat-loss and cardiovascular improvements while training about 72% less time.
